Not the best place to stay. Rooms are given out to section 8.

My family & I arrived 7/29 @ 3pm. We were shocked @ the neighborhood of this hotel, as that was not displayed online. There is a liquor store across the street & we saw many people with questionable professions surrounding the hotel & in the lobby. We checked in & asked about the shuttle to take us into DC. The man behind the desk was condescending as he explained there was not a shuttle to take us as it only runs in the AM and late PM. He said he could get us a taxi; he waved to a guy waiting in the lobby who said he would take us to Union Station. This taxi was a run down van and the driver had to stop for gas but took us to Union Station. The next morning we took the shuttle to the city & had been in the city for about an hour when the hotel called me & informed me we had a break-in on our car. They refused to give me more info & refused to come get us after I relayed our location. We arrived from a taxi & the hotel staff was short with us & quickly dismissed us. They offered no help in our time of need. I would never stay there again.

Temporary homeless/relocation shelter. Smells terrible.

I stopped to get shelter from the rain, but they were a bit off-putting. Not very hospitable but became more understanding. I suppose it's the neighborhood that they have to be more careful.

To be completely fair I cannot accurately rate the hotel rooms because I was never in them. Although we made reservations for two rooms three months ago, when we arrived we were told that there was a "situation" and that we were being transferred to a sister hotel, which ended up being over twenty miles away with no shuttle service and a 1.2 mile walk to the nearest metro station. We were later told that the original hotel had closed down, but the computer was still accepting reservations. This was a bit unbelievable, as when we passed by the hotel the parking lots were filled. Shuttle driver was very sympathetic to our problem though, and Cameron's Seafood Market near the hotel we were placed in is pretty delicious if you like fried seafood.
