It was cold the days we stayed around 20 or so. The room got very cold near the window and wall they installed a curtain to try and help as it was old glass.

This seems to be an exception. I was given perhaps the smallest room in the hotel. Out of windows were a bunch of office rooms.

The shower worked well..

Friendly staff. Felt welcome. Clean and efficient.

We joked about the area being so cold near the window but we closed the shade and used it as a built in fridge for our drinks ,etc..

I will never be back to this location. They are not deserving of the Marriott name.

I didn't spend much time in the hotel. But the staff was extremwly courteous. I somehow wiped my room key and they fixed it immediately with no hassle. The room was spotless when I checked in and house keeping did a fantastic job freshing the room after my first night.

I did not get reward points since I booked via a third-party website. While it was not a big deal, they should have informed me before hand.

I booked a NONrefundable room for 2 nights on on 11/24 & 11/25. My confirmation stated 1 king size bed. I checked in around 8:30pm on Friday. I got to my room, and it's 2 queens and a sofa bed. Now, I didn't care because i was there for a short weekend, but when i called the front desk, they told me i was too late to check in and had to give my room up??? Ah.. I booked a non-refundable room?? Who cares what time i checked in at.

My girlfriend thought toilet was dirty.I looked and the toilet was cracked and the crack was stained with fecal matter!

Front desk told me that, they gave me room up and maybe i can get a king bed tomorrow. Why would i switch room? My point is, the customer should be given what they purchased at all times. NO matter what time they check in. IF you already received my money to begin with. I will def stay in the area, it's a good location but i will NOT be returning to this hotel.

The pool and Jacuzzi did not work one day. No one had any idea why.

The room -sheets and towels were clean unfortunately the room was lacking. Laying down at night you could here the toilets being flushed in the other rooms, not very romantic.

Keys did not work; I had to get it fixed TWICE. Heater did not work in my room until 12:00am. Thermostat showed wrong temperatures. It was pretty cold inside. Not sure why, not even the engineers.

Overall a good experience. Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Quiet. And accommodating. A bit expensive, but they had the best prices around. I highly recommend Courtyard by Marriott Washington Embassy Row.

Nice people working there.

I should have known something was up when the gentleman in front of me checking out told me they had no hot water..

Marriott is my choice.
