The Hotel itself is definitely nothing to write home about. The staff were stand-offish/sometimes rude, and not at all helpful. The hotel is also located right next to the Ballpark so on game nights it's a madhouse. One of the elevators was broken the entire time we were there, and I saw no one trying to fix it at any point.
My REAL issue is the valet parking. They lost my car! It took them an hour to figure out what they did with it--and no one was willing to communicate with us about what was going on. In fact, we didn't know they lost it until we saw the FOURTH person leave to help find it, followed by the valet manager. After that, we deduced that they had ZERO idea where they parked my car. I honestly thought it must have been stolen.
very happy with our stay. The staff was always helpful, going above and beyond. My granddaughter left her glasses in the car. The attendant went out to the garage and got them for us. We originally could not find the hotel, a staff member walked a couple of blocks to find us! It is those kinds of things that keep up coming back to the Hampton Inn.
Hotel was clean, smelled clean as well :) Room was small but cozy, with modern fixtures. We were happy to see a refrigerator in the room! Staff was pleasant. The tv powered on initially however there were no channels accessible. Called to the front desk and they sent the engineer up who fixed it in 5 minutes. Evidently if the room isn’t used for a while, they have to reset the tv. There were quite a few good restaurants/bars in walking distance. I gave 4 stars because parking was not an easy task. No dedicated parking spaces, just street parking. Valet parking was $43 (!!). All in all it was a pleasant stay.
We won't stay here again.
Altogether, I high recommend this place and plan to stay again.
The one and only complaint was when I spilled water on the floor and went to wipe it up with the white wash cloth, it came back much dirtier than it should've!
I enjoyed my stay here at Hampton Inn Navy Yards. I stayed for two nights and three days. The staff was very nice, and it was the easiest check-in I’ve ever had! When I had a problem with my TV, they sent someone up right away to fix it. Breakfast was okay, but nothing special. The room was very nice and looked new. My only complaint was that there was a lot of construction noise from a building nearby, when I was trying to sleep in one day. (That’s not under their control though, but thought I’d mention it) I would stay here again!
The customer service wad top notch! I travel a ton and this was some of the best I've ever had.
COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.
The rooms are nice, though.
The room was very nice with a warm modern style.
