Thirdly, good luck with your breakfast, at least during peak seasons, such as holidays. We waited 45 minutes to help ourselves and there already were empty plates.
The room was nice and the staff were very friendly, although one employee gave us the wrong information about metered parking in the area. The free breakfast was pretty good too. We asked for a room with "a view" and got a room with a view of the construction site across the street. The neighborhood doesn't seem like the kind you want to be in late at night, although we were only about 10 blocks from Columbus Circle. It looks like they're trying to develop the area for the better.
Great location--close to restaurants and conferences--and friendly staff. Rooms weren't spectacular, but very roomy and fairly comfortable. Lots of space and outlets, which was golden to me! A hot breakfast downstairs was also welcome, along with coffee, tea and even cookies and cider one evening. The lounge downstairs is a welcome and comfortable space. I'd recommend overall!
Under average hotel, if not mediocre, and I have done a lot of traveling in the past.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...
Finally, the only positives are probably that the rooms are very clean and tidy (yet not so comfortable) and that the valet parking service employees are very helpful.
First of all, (more of a neighborhood issue) the building across the street is currently under construction, during week days workers start around 4am and boy do you hear just every single noise, not to mention that the police station is five minutes away and it seems like they receive many calls during the night.
Second of all, the customer service was.. well.. very close to mediocre. We asked 3 times for extra sheets and we never received them. At check-in came an issue with our reservation where they didn't give us the room we booked, instead of a double bed room we got a single bed room because "there was an issue with your booking and we're currently overbooked, therefore we can not modify anything".
Ignore the location which is under construction...this hotel is clean and safe. 2 Queen beds with Queen pull out sofa makes it a choice for larger families. Bonus is 2 blocks from NoMa metro stop. Great value for a couple of nights
