Now I've got their next monthly free bike maintenance class on my calendar. Amazing members of the community!
Great service, reasonable prices, amazing staff. Excellent location for bike repairs. Bring it by during the day, and for minor repairs (chain, cassette, cables) they can usually do it while you go get lunch.
They do good work. Period. But the best part might be that I always feel like I can believe their recommendations for service needs. The staff know their stuff and behave like the opposite of slimy salesman. I really appreciate that.
I did write them an email much before I posted this review and also mentioned this in their feedback but sadly, they didn't even get back to me about it.
Friendly neighborhood bike shop for everyone from casual rider to commuter to racer. Retail sales and bike servicing. They have frequent classes, workshops, developmental rides, and more. I've found it very welcoming compared to other shops.
Story time: I had a flat tire, and stopped by to get a replacement tube. Said I'd swap it myself - nbd, I've seen a video of how to do it, wcgw? They have a pump out front for anyone to use. As I'm outside, fighting with the tire and making a fool of myself, the manager swings by and gives me some helpful tips. I still manage to tear my new tube (they're about to close at this point) and the manager tries again to help, but I'm helpless. He takes the wheel, replaces the tube in seconds (on the house) and I'm able to ride home.
Unfortunately, that's where the good things ended. In the first week of riding, my seatpost fell in as I was riding. My handlebars slipped and turned downwards after going over a bump. Recently, my saddle became loose as well and I noticed this only during a ride. These are things I've never tinkered with so none of this should be happening.
Before I got my bike, the guys at the shop were really patient and helpful. They let me try on a number of things; different stems, lots of adjustments. They didn't complain although I took a lot of their time. They even helped me with a preliminary fit.
They have a good bike selection. They do have nice accessories. We went in, roamed around the shop for about 5 minutes, some of the staff were free, but nobody asked us if we needed help or even said welcome folks.
