I love this place so much and can spend hours and hours exploring their exhibitions and collections. Pro tip if you're a DC local: buy the membership! It pay for itself in just a few visits and allows you free entrance anytime you want, plus a few guest passes and access to some incredible members-only events. That membership more than pays for itself. Don't miss heading to the top floor to see the view from the terrace and be sure to check out the Pulitzer Prize photography gallery - it's incredibly moving!

A truly excellent museum! This venue offers carefully curated exhibits, excellent views, and great food (at museum prices, though). The staff are all knowledgeable and kind, and it never felt crowded. I would most definitely recommend this place as a frequent visitor of museums. View of capital attached as a photo.

One of the best museums I have ever visited! Spent 5 hours there and could still have spent longer. The design of the museum is top notch and what fascinating exhibits. What a find in Washington DC! The cafeteria was very nice also with a good food selection. My daughter especially loved the family bathroom with comfortable chairs and a room she could lock, to breast feed her baby - wish more museums had such a facility!!

Much to see, with many informative displays and activities. I especially enjoyed the historic newspapers and magazines on the sixth floor. The entry cost is quite high, however. With how few people were there, I almost wonder if their revenue would increase with lower entry fees.

Interesting exhibits, beautiful building, but overpriced. My 12 and 13 year old both found the museum interesting. Especially the iconic photos and exhibit on First Amendment freedoms. Also Berlin Wall + tower were an interesting sight. I think I preferred the museum when it was located in Rosslyn however, and was still a hidden find. This location feels a little too much and hurried for something that should be a contemplative experience.
