Great exhibit for the forward thinking developers, policy makers and regular people who will benefit dramatically from better home design solutions.

Experience a home that demonstrates multifunctional uses for the every changing family needs. From the good ole Murphy bed of the past to today's modern Murphy bed. Sound absorbing moveable walls. Pocket doors that double as an ironing table.

The National Building Musuem is a great place for visitors of all ages. During my visit, we prearranged a group for 1st graders for the My City exhibit. The facilitators were patient and kind. They engaged 70 first graders to teach about city architecture for 2 hours. During the session, the children got to build their own city and even take their art work home! Our students learned a lot about our city as well as the importance of recycling and reusing materials to make new items. We will DEFINITELY return!

This is one of my favorite places in DC! The guided tour is a must! Very interesting and they take you on the upper walkway. Beautiful building, great exhibits, and interesting history. Don't miss it!

Beautiful but not very clear. I had to talk to many people and walk in circles before I was able to get any answers. To do any tours or fun kid activities you have to pay. $10/adult $7/ages 3-17, students with ID and 60+

Visited the opening day of "Open House - Making Room" An eye opening view of how our housing needs have dramatically changed and how our antiquated government is way behind the curve.

I just love to stop in this National treasure for a hot cup of coffee or just a glass of sweet tea and a break. The National Building Museum is great for a family break from the weather and a ketchup on a new event. Try it and see for yourself...
