I brought in a truck I bought recently to be fixed and taken through inspection. I felt at ease knowing that my car was with Auto tech and was happy to know there wouldn't be any run around.
I was told it needed a catalytic converter and spark plugs. I discussed having these parts ordered and delivered to the shop. The owner complied saying they do that sort of thing all the time.
I trusted these guys and they really let me down.My inspection is Tuesday and I don't think it will pass which is a whole other can of worms. I hope the owner reads this and follows up because the service was absolutely terrible this time around.
Trustworthy. Nice. Reliable. Honest. Efficient. They explain everything. Get there early as they get busy quickly.
set up with them 2 weeks prior had not even been started. The bad news the mechanic gave me was that the car didn't need a catalytic converter only spark plugs. This was not bad news at all! I saved $1,000 by not replacing the catalytic converter on a Land Rover.
I was wrong!
I heard nothing from them at all on Friday. Called Saturday morning and there was no answer. So I decided to drive there (thank god I have two cars) and check on things. When I arrived all the mechanics were standing in a circle laughing and talking at 10:30am.
The worst part is that though I had repeatedly told them in person and over the phone that I had all four spark plugs shipped to there shop they had not even opened the package by Saturday morning. When I asked if they could put the spark plugs in before noon when they close he said "uhh, probably by Monday". I am not mechanic but I know spark plugs take less than an hour to replace. Seeing as I had been waiting for a call/voicemail or text, had called the shop with no answer, and had to physically go out of my way to check on things, and I bring EVERY CAR I HAVE EVERY OWNED to these guys, I believe they should have made it a priority.
2 weeks later the parts arrived. I called the shop. They told me to bring it in that Friday at 8am.
First time customer- car was making a noise that I thought might be the brakes. Dropped car off at 9 am and had a call with a quote for new brakes by 9:30 am. The job was done the same day at a very reasonable price. I will be going back to these guys and would recommended them to anyone else.
I asked the head mechanic (owners brother) about my car to which he said, "we have very bad news".
Best mechanic I've found in the DMV area. These guys are so fast, efficient and don't overcharge. Honest, good mechanics who will have my business as long as I reside here.
Amazing service! I took my car in for an oil change, and brought in headlights & taillights for them to change. They did everything the same day and changed my lights for free! Turns out I had brought in the wrong kind of headlight, but they installed one they had on hand and asked me to bring them a replacement whenever was convenient for me to "reimburse" them for the part. Said he didn't want me to be pulled over for having a burnt out headlight. I couldn't believe it! Kind, friendly people who are quick, efficient, and reasonably priced. You can't beat it!
I always bring my cars here but maybe their service is suffering now because they are too busy.
