I visited the Penn Quarter location for the first time for a blowout. I was hesitant because I have extremely thick shoulder length hair that is somewhat hard to manage. I’ve been desperate to find a stylist that can give me the perfect blowout. I am pretty picky about my hair. I was matched with Lucky Marquez, and I am so thankful. Lucky Marquez took the time to ask questions about my preferences. He was very informational about different ways of styling and taking care of my hair. His warm disposition and his impressive professionalism made me feel as if I have been a client for years. I left with sleek and bouncy curls. I have received so many compliments. He provided me with the best blow out that I have ever had. Two weeks later I was still just as impressed with it as when I first left the salon. I am so happy that I have found the perfect stylist. FYI- he works at both the Penn Quarter and Dupont Circle locations. He performs magic! My overall experience was OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend Lucky Marquez.
Nice people and nice place, but my hair fell down within minutes of leaving. Guess Drybar just can't compete with DC humidity.
Went to this location for a blowout on NYE. Had an appointment for 6, but didn't get seated until 7:15. Blowout was fine, but the wait was insane and really inconvenient, as they never made a point to say how far behind they were.
Drybar is nice, the shampoo was great, everyone was very courteous--but my curls fell within 10 minutes and looked terrible. Why pay $45 +tip to have someone wash my hair and go to all that effort only for it to look like I didn't do anything with it? I feel bad, because everyone was so nice, but I needed my hair to look good and ten minutes out the door it looked disastrous. I won't be returning, sorry guys.
I like dry bar as a franchise, but this is not the best location. Every time I book here they always bring me back 15 minutes after my schedule appointment. And they usually take longer than an hour for a 45 minute blowout. The staff can be highly disrespectful at times, and no one rushes to check you in when you are standing at the front desk. Additionally, if you have certain request for your type of hair or styles they seem to take offense to that. I truly would not recommend this location. One of the stylists by the name of Tiffany was extremely disrespectful. She found it funny at how thick my hair was and could not give me a "general" time frame of how long it would take to do my hair. Again, I do not recommend this location or that stylist in general.
