Attractive place one block from a Metro station and near two major convention hotels. Trendy "new American" cuisine very nicely prepared and gracefully served. Very accommodating of food allergies. Lots of appetizers and entrees dairy and egg-free.

I just celebrated my birthday and had another great meal at New Heights Restaurant. I love this restaurant for the cool relaxed vibe, amazing drinks and delicious food. Everything on the raw bar is exceptional! And, the Ramen was a hit at our table along with the black cod. The service is consistently good and the staff friendly. A great place for lunch or dinner.

What a warm-hearted place. I needed some help with my car and the very kind manager jumped out from tending a very crowded bar to lend assistance. Then followed a friendly, knowledgable and and cheerful waiter who served beautifully prepared and delicious food. My steak was like "butter," and all others at our table where happy with their preparations. One reviewer called this venue "civilized" and I second that description. No pretense, just lots of sincerity and great food.

Truly a hidden gem. Terrific, interesting food, and the prices are modest by D.C. standards. It to be missed.

Under no circumstances would I go to this restaurant again. Last night there were only two parties in the restaurant, ours and a party consisting of an adult male and five young women ranging in age between approximately 18 and 24. The women were literally screaming at the top of their lungs, making my party impossible to converse. I complained to the manager, who defended them and stated they were just being "festive." I responded that their loud screaming was inhibiting our ability to converse. I asked the manager to speak to them; he refused and proceeded to provide all sorts of excuses for their uncivil behavior ("once their food comes, they'll quiet down"). Finally, I had had it and went to the table and asked the women to stop screaming. One gave me a snarky remark. They continued screaming throughout their stay. The management didn't even offer to move my party, despite the fact that there were plenty of empty tables in the restaurant. This is an expensive restaurant for food that is just OK. This situation speaks volumes about where America is today. People are becoming more and more uncivil and disrespectful of people around them. Extreme individualism and political correctness (everyone is right, and no one should be confronted when he/she engages in behavior which disrespects the people in the vicinity). I will never go to this restaurant again.
