A fun night out!

As a bar/restaurant, Cuba Libre is not quite stellar. The drinks are good but pricey (prices drop when the party starts at 11), the food is good but not great and the bar staff is surly.

Can't comment on the food or all you can drink, but wouldn't come back until I hear they've made an honest attempt at improving their customer service.

The best part of Cuba Libre is that it is a chill after hours night spot. Relaxed dress code. Affordable drinks. A pretty large dance floor. And a chill crowd that is focused on having fun. If you are a salsa fan, or a fan of dancing, this is one of the better spots in DC.

First place I've ever walked out on. Walked in and no one wanted to seat us. Told us we could sit at the bar or one of the open tables near it but didn't lift a finger to show us where so we had to look for ourselves.

Sat down and ordered drinks and food. 45 minutes later and our drinks still haven't come out. A large party of 20 walks out for the terrible service. We decided to give them a chance and asked someone to grab our waiter to come to our table. Another 15 minutes passed and no one came to check on us so we ended up walking out too.

What a great place to go in DC that feels like you escaped the area. The service was great and the drinks were too! We will definitely go back for more drinks and some dinner too!

Service was great (they asked about food allergies before we were seated) and the cocktails were incredible. The food was full of flavor and it was a nice atmosphere. I was there for a work dinner, but think it'd be a great place for a date (share some tapas!) or for a night out with friends (get all the drinks!).

Came here while on a business trip after a couple of my staff members found it and said it was the real deal. Ended up eating here 3 times while we were in town. The Shrimp con Mojo is absolutely out of this world. I didn't know flavors like that even existed. The Seafood Paella is also pretty delicious. Make sure you add a small bowl of their Black Bean Soup to your order. It's not your Mama's black beans. Great food, great atmosphere. Can't wait to be back in DC again to go again.
