An excellent meal for a party of 6 on Christmas day. Even though Legal had through clerical error misplaced or reservation, they were able to seat us right away. Latoya, our server, was upbeat, pearsonable, and accommodating. I ordered the Apple sangria,the swordfish with the butternut squash and crazins, and the dessert speciality of the bourbon bread pudding. Each was outstanding! Thank you for the wonderful meal!
Can't go wrong here. Fresh seafood and top notch service. Had chef's seafood trio which comes with three types of fish, shrimp and scallops. Good stuff! Nice place to take a date.
Modern place with an upscale feel. Prices are appropriate for DC (read a little bit expensive) but the seafood is fresh and delicious. This is a place to go to for a romantic dinner, a girls night out, or even just a last minute drink with some snacks.
I love Legal Sea Foods. I stopped in for fried clams, only to find out they are not a regular item on the menu (try calling ahead). So, instead, I ordered a bowl of clam chowder, which was hot and creamy with delicious chunks of clams and potatoes inside! I enjoyed it with the complimentary rolls and it was a satisfying meal. The bartender made me a delicious dirty martini with two huge, meaty olives. For dessert, I had a refreshing bowl of blood orange and lemon sorbet. This is one of only a few Legal's in the DMV. If you are not familiar, stop in to enjoy some premium seafood. You won't be disappointed. This location is Metro accessible at Gallery Place/ Chinatown.
Food was good, but service was poor. Waiter forgot our clam chowder and seemed focused on something besides the customers. The waiter was slow and did not pay attention to details like keeping water glasses filled, picking up payment, etc. I hope that this is not normal!
