I have parked at this location for years. Today, I discovered -- after parking on the "green" level that I could use the stairs to exit to the street. However, when you return to your vehicle you CANNOT use the stairs. You are directed to walk down the entry/exit ramps! What moron thought this was a good idea, especially for people with disabilities? I wonder how long that policy will/would last if a customer was struck by an vehicle entering/leaving. Today was the last time Quikpark, Inc. will see any of my business!
We visited Washington DC this past weekend for a wedding and parked in this parking garage. We saw on the sign that it was no overnight parking after we had pulled into the garage; so we asked the parking attendant were the closest garage was that we could park overnight. He said we could park in this garage overnight. So we parked there and went about our day; the next morning we went to retrieve or vehicle and the garage door was closed completely. There were no hours stated for Sunday we called the number available for the garage and received a recording that stated that the garage was closed on Sunday. We then sought help from the valet at the JW Mariotte Hotel and later found that the garage would be open at 10am. We waited until 10:15 and the parking attendant showed up. We refused to pay the parking fee due to the inconvience of him being late as well as his lack of complete information. He said he could not allow us to leave. We then requested to speak with the manager about the service and the parking attendant said the managers were not in on the weekends and refused to give us the manager's number. Everything the attendant seemed to say was contradictory. The parking attendant should have been more informative when telling use we could park there; this alone could have caused major problems for us if we had a flight or had to return a rental car. This issue ruined our final day int he city. Needless to say we will not be parking there when we return to the city.
Very narrow garage. There is no direct connect up to the national theatre and no good way to get in to your car late at night. Also getting out took quite a while, not a very efficient system.
