Friendly and thoughtful service, usually relaxed enough that you can read or work on a laptop, and they'll do many dishes without cheese for the vegan/lactose-intolerant among us (get the eggplant pizza w/ no cheese if in doubt).
Our waiter was very attentive the entire time we were there and even brought out a bowl of water for the pooch. I got a caprese salad and my spouse got the beef lasagna and both tasted delicious and very fresh. I'm looking forward to coming here again soon!
So grateful that this place is close to me. I've tried each of the half dozen Italian places in this neighborhood and while IPK isn't the best fit when you need something upscale, I think it serves the actual best food. And not even accounting for price.
When visiting my son who lives in this neighborhood we walked here for lunch. He had a panini which looked very good. I ordered the Italian pizza. What I experienced was the most delicious pizza I have ever eaten. Service was fast and friendly. Now I will be looking for reasons to drive 2 hours to visit just so I can have this pizza.
The experience, from start to finish, was absolutely seamless. The quality of the ingredients is unparalleled, the vibe & taste are authentic, and the small, personal touches make it that much better. Go in, sit down, and be prepared for one of the most simply refreshing experiences you could've hoped for. Oh, and don't forget to get their delicious desserts.
Most likely you will find out about this place by their custom painted Fiat 500's zooming up and down Connecticut Ave for deliveries. Which for a delivery you can't go wrong. Their pizza has a light and buttery crust with decent toppings. The rest of the menu is typical checker tablecloth red sauce staples. While nothing is blow your socks off amazing, IPK will destroy all the big delivery chains any day of the week.
The food and service here was amazing! I came around noon with my spouse and our dog and we sat outside on the patio.
