The deli is great for lunch, with a very large selection of tasty grab and go options. The store is nice but they are short on cashiers. Otherwise service is good.
Bad: horrible endless lines to pay. You can be up to 10 minutes waiting in a f* line.
Greetings, I rather ride pass the Safeway on Alabama Ave. S.e and ride pass the Safeway on Minnesota Ave to come to this Safeway on 6 and k street n.w. to shop for fresher, and updated food, and much more peaceful place to shop.
Dairy items are always out of stock! It takes forever to get assistance. I literally had to go behind the fridge and get my own milk. shelves were empty with the items still in the shipping boxes! unpack them already! Other than having to open my own boxes and waiting forever for deli and prepared food , the store is alright.
This is the best Safeway I’ve been to in a long time. Always cleaner and nearer than the rest in the city. The produce and meat selection is fresh and stocked with pride. So many other locations have stuff thrown on shelves. The store team is simply awesome and full of joy during all my few visits a month.
Good: next to my place, open 24/7, good assortment of food, bakery is decent, nice discounts for members (you just gotta get a card).
Love-hate relationship with this place.
