It was burger Wednesday when i went in for lunch so i had a delicious cheese burger with fries for only $8.00!. The burger was prepared a perfect medium rare as requested and the fries were superb. Excellent service. There were many other interesting items on the menu. Alas, they will have to wait for another visit.
Cafe Delux is a wonderful restaurant that I love visiting. The Restaurant is nice and bright and has indoor and outdoor seating. The carpeting helps keep the noise down as well. All orders are served with bread, butter, and water and the food itself is delectable. My personal favorite is the seafood pasta. As for dessert, I have loved the apple crumble with vanilla ice cream for years. It is the perfect balance between cold and hot. I also love the sundae which I tried recently. The toppings including hot fudge are what make this dessert so wonderful. The location is also great as there is much parking close by and it is near the National Cathedral and the Washington Ballet Studio.
Great for children - my parents always used to take me and I love the memories! And the chicken fingers haven't changed still delicious.
Wonderful brunch options. White table clothes belie fair and modest pricing. Coffee could use improvement.
The bar tender is nice, but the culture has changed from days gone by. It used to be a full house, but since other restaurants have come to Cathedral Commons, the drinks here have gotten smaller and the staff is less responsive. They are no longer the only game n town.
