For text books, this is not the place to go. They are more expensive than on for example Amazon, and for my courses this semester they either did not have the books at all or they were out of stock. Also, check-out is really slow, I waited almost 20 minutes today while there were only 2 people in front of me. The apparel they have is pretty cool though and mostly reasonably priced.
It took a week to receive much needed books for class because the only option is to order online to pickup in store. In other words, it would be faster to order from Amazon if you have a prime membership.
Bookstore didn't bother to tell anyone that textbooks will now only be available online. Left work early and ran across town to get my books and was given this information. No email, no announcement on the website. They also close early and the hours are incredibly inconvenient. Pretty saddened by the quality of this store.
GW Campus Store was extremely good place to buy souvenirs, notebook and clothes. But I would like to mention that the clothes attached to GW’s logo was too expensive to buy a lot.
Never order your books through the bookstore. It is slower than advertised and very unreliable. One of my books said it was ready for pick-up, but then they were unable to find it when I went in four separate times over the course of three weeks. On my fourth visit, the manager I spoke to just told me "Go get your refund and order them somewhere else, they're never coming in." I would not mind if I had been told earlier, but we are now starting the third week of classes and I am just now being told that I need to re-order them. This means I'll be 3-4 weeks late getting my books, just because the bookstore lost/can't find my books and decided not to share that until my fourth trip there. Save yourself the time and hassle and just order through Amazon or buy them from another student.
