Why when you google Stewart's Funeral Home there is a picture of somebody's uncle laid out casket sharp???
I have used Stewart Funeral Home for over 15 years. They are very attentive to your needs and the staff is so polite. They have prices that you can work with and they assist you with everything you need to make the home going service of your loved ones an easy transition.
I am a patient/family advocate and have been sending families to Stewarts for more than 15 years for funeral arrangements, and have done a few on behalf of my own family. Never had any trouble. They were professional, offered all the pricing options, the service was orderly, on time, death certificates prompt and correctly filled out, even helped us with DC Coroner's Office to get bodies released. The only folks I know who have trouble with Stewarts are the ones who don't give all the info they need to do their job right......
The price was right, but customer service was horrible. . During the meeting to plan the arrangements, in walks a man totally unremorseful to “fit” her in, in 4 days and walks out. Smh She passed on Monday had the service on Friday For my Dear Aunt but unfortunately we didn’t recognize her one bit. They never asked for a picture we told them she didn’t wear makeup so try to take it easy with it, they did the opposite. They then moved her from room to room to car without our knowledge. Their service was terrible.
My uncle passed away 3/25, and it took a whole month for him to be cremated. Once he was cremated I didn't even get a call from this funeral home telling me he was, it took me to call them myself. Poor communication skills, customer service was poor also except from Ms. Washington, she handles the payments and funeral arraignments. My uncle just had his memorial yesterday. This funeral home brought my uncle remains and the cremation certificate, but in the folder they didn't even give me his death certificates. My mother call them to ask why didn't they bring his death certificates, and she spoke with a woman named "Ms. Lewis" and she refused to talk to my mother about her own brothers death certificate, Ms Lewis tells my mother that my uncles remains and the death certificates are downstairs and they have been calling me (which was a lie) so I can come pick them up
