Writing a review for the Lab School is like writing a review of the U.S. Constitution. Something this great doesn't need a review. However, for those who are not familiar with Lab I'll share our family's experience. In Kindergarten our son was unable to learn the alphabet and struggled with numbers. By first grade we had an IEP (individual education plan) put together by the Montgomery County Public Schools (MD). By the start of third grade my wife and I realized that our son was not progressing despite significant interventions by the special education team at the school. We had him privately tested and the discovery was not surprising. Our son is smart and severely dyslexic. We embarked on a journey to find a place so our son could learn. It was not easy but we finally found Lab. Simply put, for those stranded in the desert of dyslexia, Lab is an oasis of learning. It is a wonderful school and our son is flourishing every day. I love to ask him, "How is your day at Lab?" His perennial reply, "It was awesome!" And he is learning more and more, everyday.

This is our son's fifth year at Lab School. We could not have been more pleased with the progress he has made. Our son's self-esteem and confidence was boosted, and it allowed him to achieve many of his goals. I cannot speak highly enough for Lab School's staff. Outstanding school!

As a neighbor the parents routinely block driveways along Reservoir picking up and dropping off students. Their main entrance has traffic lights yet every day cars cover the sidewalk preventing pedestrians from safe navigation and forcing them to brave the road. After watching a young woman walk her dual baby carriage into the road because of a lazy cellphone talking driver stopped beyond the Lab Schools own parking line an accident is bound to happen. Written to the school about this but there has been no change of entitlement. Ask the entitled drivers to reverse to allow freedom of pedestrian movement and they will curse and honk their horns at you.

Its a great special ed school. Great and innovative minded students, teachers, and administration. Couldn't ask to be a 10th grader rising 11th grader in a better private High School. The High School recently moved into a new and fancy with 21st century technology like touch white boards, white board walls, among other things.
