I love this place. It’s close to work. Beautiful environment, great staff and terrific food. The Raku ramen bowls are my fav. The have a good menu election, great sushi/sashimi and the service is fast.
It’s a proper Japanese American restaurant that profile its clientele. However, I went there last night and had its Rendang special and it is killing it. Portion was right and more importantly the flavor was there. It bravely showcase Indonesian flavor profile without compromising for the mainstream audience.
Oriental restaurants tend to be the same fare (like Mexican) but this one stands above. You know it is good when you take that first bite and your taste buds say "Wow!" Raku is like that. Food is one element but atmosphere and spirit are another. Located in the newly revitalized Cathedral Hill neighborhood, there's a vibe here that says "your at a happening place." Highly recommended.
Interesting décor here. The place is inviting and really cozy for the whole family. My hubby brought me here the other day for the very first time and I wasn’t disappointed. Definitely a cool spot.
Upper quality sushi for average price. They have some tasty and unusual inventions too! Service was satisfactory. Will come back again
