Walked out of the national zoo pretty hungry. 2 minute walk, and found this great restaurant. Staff was very good and the brunch was really tasty. Get the panda pancakes!
Let me start this by saying the food is delicious. Also, the prices are pretty good for DC standards, especially for the location. However, the service leaves something to be desired. I've been there twice. The first time there was only one other table at the restaurant, so there was no reason for it to have taken twenty minutes to get water and even longer for our food to finally arrive. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe they were under staffed, but I just went back for a second time and it seemed like the service was even slower. On top of that, I was so looking forward to the Panda pancakes--they tasted good but they didn't quite turn out looking like pandas. As good as the food is, I don't think I'll be returning.

Classy little Italian bistro. The portobello ravioli is amazing. The service was good and the atmosphere was lovely.
I had the mushroom ravioli and it was delicious. The garlic bread was great. It's right next to the zoo so it's perfect to eat at before you go. They rent it out for parties. I would do it for my upcoming one. Nice and clean. Good location.
