Came here after the rush of the wild and out show. Even though the staff had been swamped with people who were not nice and didn't understand that a sit down restaurant is not fast food, they were friendly and welcoming. I had the bartender, Chris, surprise me, and he served me a drink of his own creation, which was delicious. I ordered the sliders and they were perfect, and the French fries (my favorite part) were hot and salty. This is a great place to come before or after a movie.
Terrible service. Dirty glasses. Mediocre food. Average wait time to receive a drink was 45 mins. While our server was pleasant, he was not very interested in making sure anything went well. The rest of the staff was rude, and seemed to seethe when asked basic questions. There are better options all around Gallery Place, any other restaurant is a better option than Bar 'Lousy'.
First place my wife and I stopped in DC the staff was amazing, super friendly and made us feel right at home. Food was great and I highly suggest you try the Bulleit Bourbon Burger. They didn’t shy away and chatted with us the whole time we were here. I will recommend Bar Louis to anyone in the area and will definitely be back. I would give more stars if I could.
The food was decent here. I had a burger and had to send it back because it wasn’t good at all. The salmon sliders afterwards were good though. Decent service also.
I came into the bar. Sat down at a bar seat. This woman working the bar walked past me and my two friends. I've never been to an establishment that would allow me to sit at the bar for 30 minutes or longer without addressing me. I came here to drink. I came here to party..and Sean the manager told me I had to leave because we complained about service. I do not recommend this bar to anyone.
