I can't comment on how they build, I'm sure they are good at it and make lots of money, my personal experience relates to how they treat the people in the community they work in: about a year ago my friend was driving next to one of their build sites on a windy day. Their metal fence (think the big stuff with metal poles in it, not some light mesh) came undone and landed on the roof of her car as she was driving. The crash was loud enough to get people to come out of the houses across the street to see what had happened, and damaged the car so bad that the passenger door wouldn't open anymore, bent the roof etc...

However in my experience denying any issue and hoping everything gets resolved by ignoring the problem is a company wide approach that must stem from its management: over the course of more than a year since this happened we have been trying to have the damages to that car taken care of by WCS and while initially we were told (by one of their own!) this had happened before and they would take care of the damages (for which we provided an estimate done at a local body shop as per their request), since then we have just gotten the classic "run around", being bounced from one person to the other.

The bad: when the police officer came out to help remove the fence from the car and assess what had happened, he said it was the second time he had to come to that site for the same reason, something that was later confirmed over the phone by one of WCS's representatives. So they KNEW this had happened before yet didn't care to fix it properly. Imagine if there had been a pedestrian walking by. Imagine what a metal fence capable of bending the metal roof of a car could have done to said pedestrian.

After insisting for this long we finally just got a "we deny any liability" even when presented with a Police Report that says the contrary. It is a classic case of hoping the little guy will be discouraged and will let go, so that they can save some money and continue to cut corners when safety is at play and get away with it, all for PROFIT.

The good: accidents happen and luckily nobody got hurt.

You could argue that this wasn't the company's fault, that it was something out of their control that falls under the responsibility of the people and managers working at that specific work site.

I find this to be unacceptable and while they might know how to work the system better than the average joe (it's hard for someone working to take time off to take care of all this as it's stuff you have to devote days at a time to), things will come around, I just hope it's not at the expense of the well being of someone in a way bad enough to cause their operation to be exposed for what it is.
