She then started to paint the color on my nails, getting it all over my fingers. She directed me to put my nails in the machine, and I asked her to remove the paint from my fingers first. She looked at me, puzzled, and said she could do touch-ups later, but they looked good. They did not, and I told her that gel manicures SET, so you can’t do it later. She looked at my nails, and told me they looked fine, and again insisted that I put them in the machine. I declined to let her do my other hand, figuring that I could get less paint on my hands then she could. Melanie walked over at this point, and, offered to do my nails. She started with the other hand- and her hand was shaking visibly. She did a slightly better job avoiding my skin. She then walked off. Not okay.

Maggie & Melanie did our nails, and I’ll be speaking more about Maggie then Melanie, since she did mine.

We arrived, and the place was dingy. Okay.

She removed my clear nail polish with a cotton ball, and then started to paint my nails. I pointed out that there was still cotton “fluff” on my nails, and she commented that she did not see it, and she wasn’t blind. She continued painting my nails with the base coat- with one stroke on each nail, missing large spots. … Maybe not so okay?

My friend and I walked out, nail polish all over our fingers and toes, bits of fuzz trapped in the nail polish. On the bright side, Melanie and Maggie were quite nice, and the music was good. Sorry ladies, no tip for that hack job. Do yourself a favor, don’t go- it isn’t even worth your time, much less your money.

Pedicure- I was directed to stand in a Homopedic (the do-it-at-home type foot spas) and she poured room temperature water over my feet, just covering them. No soap. She then rubbed my feet with her hands, had me put a foot in her lap, and started polishing my nails. No cuticle trimming, no filing, no base coat, no toe separators. Okay, this is just bad

So nails- polish all over fingers, bad filing job, no effort made to trim cuticles (though I doubt they had the tools to sterilize cuticle trimmers), nail polish unevenly applied, and, 2 hours later- still tacky. Gel manicures should be dry as soon as they finish. Not even a little okay.

I made appointments for two friends and I to have gel manicures/pedicures done at the same time.

I corrected her, and she took my direction- sort of.

Maggie looked at my raged, uneven nails and said they looked great and didn’t need to be filed. I asked her to file them, occasionally pointing out where she did them crooked or uneven. Okay.

Please don't go here for a manicure or pedicure. Here's why:

When we called to confirm, we were told that they only had one machine, and two people working. They asked us to come na hour earlier than our appointment, as one of them couldn’t stay. Okay. Two of us chose to go, our third dropped out.
